That was an interesting article, but I’m not sure I understand what you’re getting at with your title. How does this relate to Gates’ attempts to spread Windows everywhere?

It wasn’t explicitly stated in the article, but given Microsoft’s track record it’s not that crazy to think that one of the ways Bill would want to help third world countries (and indeed, he’s already done some of this already) is by hooking them up with Windows computers. Which would actually do more damage than good, and… oh, never mind. 🙂
